But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law.” Galatians 4:4

Recently, I found out about a Christian Writers conference coming up in February. I knew that it was something I wanted to do. But money is not always easily accessed. You can’t imagine how excited I was to see that there were opportunities for a scholarship.
When I applied for a scholarship to attend the conference, I was filled with hope mixed with fear. What if I didn’t receive it? What if I missed my chance? In my worry, I pulled money from every corner I could and paid the fee myself.
Only 26 minutes later, the email arrived: “Congratulations, you’ve received the scholarship.”
In that moment, I was reminded that God’s provision often comes after we’ve wrestled with doubt. He doesn’t just give what we need. He provides in His timing. This allows us to learn to trust Him more deeply.
Christmas is the ultimate reminder of this truth. For centuries, God’s people waited for the promised Messiah. Generations passed, prayers were lifted, and still they waited. Then, in the fullness of time, Christ was born. The promise was fulfilled. The provision was given. The seed of salvation was planted in a manger. It was destined to grow into redemption for the world.
My scholarship arrived after all my worrying — but my worry didn’t change God’s timing. His provision was already set, waiting to be revealed. In the same way, God’s promises arrive not when we demand them, but when His timing is perfect.
This season, may we rest in the truth that God’s provision is sure. His promises are fulfilled. His timing is always right. The smallest seed He plants will always grow in His perfect season.
If this seed of hope touched you, scatter it by sharing with a friend.
