“I will give you treasures hidden in darkness and riches stored in secret places…” — Isaiah 45:3
Sometimes we encounter things in our lives that feel overwhelming. A problem we don’t want to deal with — whether we don’t have the mental or emotional bandwidth or the finances. It feels like one more thing is going wrong.
A friend of mine recently faced one of those moments, a household crisis they didn’t have the money or the strength to fix. This new issue added another layer of stress, pushing them into anxiety and worry.
They had no idea how they would overcome this situation, but they started in the right place — on their knees. Asking God to make a way where it seemed impossible.
The next day, a plumber arrived. After assessing the situation, he called the sewer company. That phone call uncovered something my friend never would have found on their own — a long‑standing mistake that had quietly been working in their favor for years.
The point wasn’t the financial correction. The point was God’s timing.
What looked hopeless became the moment God used to reveal provision that had been hidden all along. A crisis became a doorway. A burden became a blessing. A dark place became the very spot where God had stored something good.
Sometimes the thing we fear is the place where God has already positioned a blessing.
