🌱 You Don’t Get to Retire in God’s Army

They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green. Psalm 92:14

Lately I’ve felt that quiet ache, that mourning of youth, that whisper that maybe my time has passed. Maybe the window for big dreams has closed. Maybe the season for God to do something through me is behind me.

But this weekend, God sent me a reminder disguised as an 89‑year‑old man — spry, sharp, driving himself around, full of life and conversation. And suddenly I remembered something Scripture has been shouting for generations:

God does not measure usefulness by age. He measures it by willingness.

At ninety years old, Sarah birthed a nation when her body said it was impossible. At eighty, Moses confronted Pharaoh when most people would be settling into retirement. Caleb claimed a mountain at eighty‑five. Elizabeth carried a prophet when everyone thought her story was closed.

Heaven has never been intimidated by a birth certificate.

If you’re breathing, God is still building. If your heart is beating, God is still calling. If you woke up today, then today is part of your purpose.

We don’t get to retire if we’re in God’s Army. Not from calling. Not from obedience. Not from impact.

Your age is not a limitation, it’s a platform. Your season is not over, it’s shifting. Your story is not closing, it’s deepening.

Until your last breath, God has a plan and a purpose for you. And you are never too old to birth something for Him.
