🌱 Why Stepping Away Can Move You Forward

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” — Luke 5:16

Two weeks ago, I realized I needed space, not just to write, but to listen. So, I checked into a local hotel with my laptop, my monitor, a box of Whoppers, and a six‑pack of Coke Zero. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was intentional. I needed to step away from the noise and ask God what He wanted me to say.

By the end of two quiet days, something shifted. My mind cleared. My heart settled. The path ahead in my writing felt less tangled and more illuminated. I left refreshed, energized, and strangely steadier than when I arrived.

We tend to think stepping back means losing momentum, but in the Kingdom, stepping back is often how God moves us forward.

Even Jesus withdrew. He didn’t apologize for it. He didn’t explain it. He simply recognized that connection with the Father required separation from the crowd. Our souls need that same rhythm.

A writing hiatus isn’t a pause in purpose; it’s a return to the Source. It’s the moment when the noise fades enough for you to hear the whisper again. It’s where clarity grows, where creativity breathes, where God reminds you who you are and what He’s shaping in you.

If you feel the need to step away, honor it. God often does His clearest work in the spaces where no one else is watching.

If this Seed touched you, consider sharing. Together we can share Jesus, one seed at a time.
